Leamington drug bust turns up fentanyl, meth, cocaine

Two men and a woman face charges after a drug bust in Leamington.

Last Thursday, the Ontario Provincial Police Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team and the K-9 unit searched a home on Erie Street South near Askew Street.

During the search, officers found what they suspect is fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine. They also found digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and some Canadian cash.

Police charged 32-year-old Micheal Cacilhas of Kingsville, 57-year-old Donald Forrest of Leamington, and 25-year-old Karysa Montgomery of Leamington.

Montgomery and Cacilhas face one count of possession of a Schedule 1 substance, while police charged Forrest with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Forrest remains in custody pending a bail hearing.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
