UPDATE: Missing man found safe

A Windsor man who was reported missing has been found safe after numerous tips from the public.

On Thursday, Windsor Police put out a public plea to find 49-year-old Robert (Richard) Gillies, who was last seen near Tecumseh Road and Ouellette Avenue Monday.

Police received numerous phone calls and were able to locate him.

Gillies' family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the community and the Windsor Police Services.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
