UPDATE: Charges laid in life-threatening assault

The Windsor Police Service has released more information about an incident Saturday night in the west end of the city.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers on patrol responded to Brock Street and Bloomfield Road's area after a report of an injured person.

When they arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital.

During the investigation, the officers found out the victim had been arguing with another man when it escalated into a physical altercation.

The two men know each other, and police do not believe weapons were involved.

The suspect fled before police arrived, but they found him the next day on Vera Place between Bruce Avenue and Church Street. He was arrested, and 23-year-old Kuoc Keror is charged with aggravated assault.

The charge has not been proven in court.

Investigators from the Major Crime Unit are still looking into the incident and would like to hear from witnesses.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
