The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service reported the fire in a two-unit home on Tournier Street near Bloomfield Road shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Firefighters were able to quickly get the blaze under control and it was reported out just less than an hour later.
A fire investigator will be attending the scene to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
