Man arrested after carjacking

Windsor police have made an arrest after a carjacking Thursday morning.

Police were first called to the area of Giles Boulevard and Parent Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for a man acting erratically wearing only his underwear.

According to witness reports, before police arrived on the scene the man jumped on the hood of a stopped car with people inside. The people were able to safely escape the car but the man stole the vehicle and took off.

The driver was reported going the wrong way down multiple roads before he got into a single-vehicle collision in the area of Park Street East and Freedom Way.

The suspect was arrested a short time after the collision and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Remy Cloutier, 31 from Windsor, is charged with robbery and dangerous driving. The charges have not been proven in court.

The people in the car were not physically injured.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
