OPP identify suspect in Leamington sexual assault

A suspect in a sexual assault in Leamington last month has been identified by the Ontario Provincial Police.

On the evening of September 10, the victim said they were approached by two men while walking on a path in a conservation area off of Talbot Street East.

One of the men struck up an inappropriate conversation. He then indecently touched the victim.

Police released a description and composite sketch of the suspect on September 18.

Thanks to public assistance, police were able to put a name to the description. Everyone involved in the incident has been identified.

Police have not said if charges are pending, but an investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
