Fourplex fire leaves five people displaced

Five people have been displaced after an overnight fire on Riverside Drive East.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday when crews responded to a fire at a fourplex near Glengarry Avenue.

It took multiple units to get the blaze under control. According to Windsor Fire, it started in a lower level bedroom that was being used for storage.

The cause is listed as undetermined at this time and damage is pegged around $200,000. No injuries were reported

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
