One dead in Manning Road crash

One person has died in hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Manning Road in Tecumseh.

According to the  Ontario Provincial Police,  shortly before 3:15 p.m. Friday, a vehicle was turning south onto Manning Road from the Highway 401 off-ramp when it was struck by another vehicle that was heading north on Manning.

The driver of one of the vehicles was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since died. The other driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Manning Road was closed between North Rear Road and Walls Road for over three hours while police conducted an investigation.

No further information has been released at this time.
