Suspect sought in armed robbery

Windsor police are searching for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery Monday morning.

Around 10:45 a.m., an armed man entered a pharmacy on Wyandotte Street East near Windermere Road and demanded prescription drugs. Two employees were assaulted during the robbery. Both had non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was given some drugs and he ran from the scene. He was last seen running southbound on Windermere Road.

He is described as a black male around 23 years old. He's about 5'6" to 5'7" with a slim build, brown hair, brown eyes, and scruffy facial hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a mask, a dark hooded sweater, dark jeans, black shoes, and dark gloves.

The Windsor Police Major Crimes Branch is asking people in the area to check their video surveillance systems to see if the suspect was captured on their video.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous as no firearm has been recovered.
