One new case of COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex

There was only one new case of COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex reported on Thursday.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit reported the case was community-acquired.

There are now 61 active cases in the Windsor-Essex Community.

Two workplaces are experiencing outbreaks; an agricultural facility in Kingsville and a construction site in Lakeshore. There are no outbreaks to report at any school or long-term care facility.

Ontario reported 783 new cases of COVID-19 out of nearly 40,000 tests completed. There are 239 new cases in Toronto, 136 new cases in Peel, 127 in York Region, and 89 in Ottawa.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
