Patrons possibly exposed to COVID-19 at Kingsville restaurant

Health officials are warning the public of potential exposure of COVID-19 at a Kingsville restaurant.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit issued a possible exposure notice on Thursday for Mettawas Station Restaurant at 169 Lansdowne Ave.

The risk of exposure is considered low.

The health unit is asking anyone who visited the restaurant on October 8 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on October 10 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of exposure.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
