Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Lakeshore

One person has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded at around 7:35 p.m. after the pedestrian was struck on County Road 22.

The victim has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

County Road 22 will be closed between County Road 42 and County Road 2 while officers conduct an investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
