Crash leads to impaired driving charges

A Windsor man is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle crash at Walker Road and Tecumseh Road Sunday night.

Police were called to the intersection around 9:45 p.m. after a white Buick Verano was driven into a traffic light pole.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was not injured.

The 65-year-old was arrested and charged with impaired driving and exceeding the legal blood/alcohol limit.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
