No new COVID-19 cases in Windsor-Essex

For the first time since March, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the region.

There are now 36 active cases in the community.

"We don't want to take this lightly. The community has done an excellent job in following all these measures despite all the challenges, despite all the miscommunication or misinformation," said Windsor-Essex Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed.

The outbreak at the Regency Park long-term care facility in Windsor is now over. There are no active outbreaks at any local long-term care or retirement facility.

There are still active outbreaks at three local workplaces; an agricultural facility in Kingsville, a food and beverage facility in Kingsville, and a construction site in Lakeshore.
