Shots fired at multiple locations over the weekend

The Windsor Police Major crimes branch is investigating after shots were fired at multiple homes over the weekend.

The first incident happened in the area of Walker Road and Parkdale Place. Callers reported hearing gunfire around 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Police found a home on Walker Road with damage consistent with gunshots. No one was injured.

The second incident happened Sunday morning on Factoria Road. Police were called around 8 a.m. for a possible break and enter attempt. When officers arrived they found damage to the home consistent with gunshots. Further investigation led them to believe the shots were fired around 12:30 a.m. No injuries were reported in this case either.

The third incident also happened Sunday morning in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Gladstone Avenue. Officers were called to the area around 1:45 a.m. for a report of shots fired. They found a house on Wyandotte Street East with damage from gunshots.

Police continue to examine all of the cases to find out if any of them are linked.

Anyone in these neighbourhoods with surveillance cameras is asked to review the footage for any suspicious persons or vehicles captured in the area, prior to, or after the incidents. Also, anyone driving in the area at the approximate time of the incidents with dashcam video is requested to review their footage and report any findings to the police.

There were two similar incidents reported last week, one happened on the city's west end and the other downtown.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
