Campaign raises an 'astonishing' $95K for hospice care

Despite the hardships many are facing, this year's Face to Face campaign has raised $95,726.

"Even during COVID, John, and this amazing community continues to go that extra mile for us," said Colleen Reaume, the executive director at the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County.

Like many campaigns this year, Face to Face faced a tough decision whether to go ahead with the fundraising effort because of the pandemic.

"I decided, with hope in my heart, that our community would be there in whatever capacity they could offer," said John Fairly, who founded the campaign 18 years ago.

While the campaign wrapped up at the end of September, organizers have just finished counting up all the pledges.

Since its inception, the fundraiser has raised $1.2 million to support hospice care in Windsor-Essex.
