Leamington party host faces fine

A Leamington resident may be issued a $750 fine for hosting a party over the weekend.

On Sunday around 12:30 a.m. Ontario Provincial Police officers went to a home on Queens Avenue after a noise complaint.

When they arrived they found more than 50 people at the residence which is a violation of the total number of people allowed to gather together indoors according to the Reopening Ontario Act.

The 35-year-old was issued a Provincial Offences Notice which carries a $750 fine upon conviction.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
