Multiple people injured in stabbing incident

Multiple victims have been taken to hospital following a stabbing incident in Walkerville.

The Windsor Police Service said officers responded to Pierre Avenue near Ottawa Street on Thursday around 3 p.m.

While they wouldn't give an exact number, police officials said "multiple" people had to be taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No one was in police custody in relation to the incident Thursday evening, however, there is no risk to public safety, police said

An investigation into the altercation is ongoing and is being led by the Major Crimes Unit.
