WFCU Credit Union offers trick-or-treat alternative

Not sure if you want to send the kids out door-to-door tomorrow night?

The WFCU Credit Union may have an alternative.

It is holding a drive-thru event Saturday afternoon at four of its locations in Amherstburg, Leamington, South Windsor and Tecumseh.

Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., it is inviting parents to bring their children to a contactless event that will allow the kids to enjoy the trick-or-treating experience without having to leave the safety of a vehicle.

Those that go must stay in their vehicle and wear a mask. Halloween treat bags filled with candy and activities will be handed out, and drive-thru drawers will be sanitized between each vehicle.

Those who go need to drive up to the drive-thru teller window. The treat bags will be placed in a drawer, which an adult driver can retrieve.

The credit union does ask anyone who is not feeling well, has travelled outside of Canada, or to an area with a current outbreak over the past two weeks to stay away.

WFCU Credit Unions are located at 322 Sandwich St. S in Amherstburg, 318 Erie St. S in Leamington, 3077 Dougall Avenue in Windsor, and at 1695 Manning Rd. in Tecumseh.
