Two cohorts from Holy Names Catholic High School dismissed

Two student cohorts from Holy Names Catholic High School have been dismissed after a case of COVID-19 was linked to the school.

The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board was notified of the case Thursday morning and affected students were told not to attend school Friday.

Public health nurses were hand at the school as students were being dismissed to provide information to families.

If parents and families have not been contacted directly by the health unit they have not been identified as a close contact of the case.

Parents are asked to continue to monitor their children for symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

The WECDSB has eight active cases of COVID-19 linked to the board. W.J Langlois Catholic Elementary School is closed due to an outbreak where two students and three staff members have tested positive.
