E-biker arrested on stolen property charges

A routine traffic stop by Windsor police has resulted in a 30-year-old man facing several charges.

Police said a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop shortly before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on an e-biker who was travelling without the required helmet.

Upon checking the operator's background it was revealed that he had outstanding warrants. A further investigation uncovered an undisclosed amount of U.S. cash, which was found to be counterfeit.

Additional property found on the man was revealed to have been stolen and he was arrested without incident, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Dawson Challoner of Windsor has been charged with possession of counterfeit money, plus two counts of possession of stolen property. These charges have not been proven in court.
