Public school board reports three more COVID-19 cases

The total number of cases of COVID-19 is up to 86 now at the Greater Essex County District School Board after another three were confirmed Thursday.

A student at East Mersea Public School in Wheatley has tested positive, along with a student at Walkerville Collegiate.

Meanwhile, a staff member at Leamington District Secondary School tested positive for the virus.

The school board has not said if any cohorts of students were dismissed as a result of the latest positive tests.

Both of the students who tested positive are considered cases at high-risk of transmission.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
