W.J. Langlois reopening after outbreak

W.J. Langlois Catholic elementary school will reopen to students and staff on Monday, December 7.

The school was closed on November 20 after several cases of COVID-19 were linked to the school.  A total of five cases resulted from the outbreak.

The Windsor Essex Catholic School Board has been working with the Windsor Essex County Health Unit since the first case was declared at the school. Before reopening, the school was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Staff also reviewed all safety measures in consultation with the health unit and the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

All students and staff will be actively screened before they return to school on Monday.

Frank W. Begley Public School school remains closed after 49 cases were linked to the school community. The school has been closed since November 17, 2020.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
