OPP investigate assault in Lakeshore

One person is in police custody and another is in the hospital after a disturbance on Monday in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police arrived at a location on Puce Road just north of Walls Road around 1 p.m.

The service said, "one adult has been transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries sustained by an edged weapon."

Officers arrested a second adult.

The investigation is ongoing, and police hope to release more information soon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
