Shooting in LaSalle under investigation

The LaSalle Police Service is investigating after a man was shot on his front stoop.

The victim went to his front door around 8 p.m. Monday when he was confronted by a person with a gun who opened fire.

That was on Eastbourne Avenue, not far from Howard Avenue.

Police are looking for a suspect. They believe the victim was targeted and there is no ongoing threat to public safety, however, the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.

Investigators are still trying to get a description of the suspect and any vehicle they may have been driving.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound but is expected to make a full recovery.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
