Four charges laid during COVID-19 enforcement

More Windsor businesses and patrons seem to be following public health measures.

Over the last week, Windsor by-law enforcement officers conducted 126 proactive COVID-19 checks and visited 40 other establishments due to complaints made through 311.

As a result of these checks, only four charges were laid. One charge was laid for no mask and three charges were laid because businesses did not have safety plans posted in their establishment.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit did not have updated enforcement charges as of Monday morning.
