Windsor man faces dangerous driving charges

A Windsor man found himself tased, then arrested for multiple charges after a dangerous driving incident.

Windsor police say officers were in the area of Ouellette Avenue near Jackson Park at around 4 a.m. Tuesday when they spotted a vehicle being driven in an aggressive and erratic manner.

The officers watched the driver try to navigate the turn at Ouellette and Edinborough Street, lose control, and crash into a stop sign.

The driver was then told by police he was arrested for dangerous driving. The driver then resisted and had to be tased before being taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle revealed a rifle barrel, a knife, and firearm ammunition.

Michael Jackson, 38, has been charged with dangerous driving, resisting arrest, breach of probation, and two counts of possession of ammunition when prohibited.

These charges have not been proven in court.
