Survey: how would you improve County Road 22 in Lakeshore?

The County of Essex and the Town of Lakeshore are looking for feedback on County Road 22.

Together, the county and the town are undertaking a study of the busy corridor between East Puce Road and Belle River Road.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate options to improve the corridor to address current and future traffic needs.

The study asks for opinions on active transportation use including bike lanes, active pedestrian crossings and the possibility of facilities for off-road vehicles.

The study also contemplates closing access to County Road 22 from some side roads to improve safety and road efficiency.

The online survey is available until January 15, 2021. Once the survey timeframe has elapsed the town will hold additional public engagement meetings. The final report on road improvements is expected in May 2021.
