Five charged in Leamington drug raid

Provincial police seized over $28,000 in illegal drugs during a raid in Leamington on Thursday.

The Ontario Provincial Police searched a property on Fox Street as part of a drug trafficking investigation. During the search, over $28,000 of illicit drugs and cannabis was seized.

Officers arrested and charged five people as a result of the investigation.

Miguel Garay Silva, 45, is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, failing to comply with a release, and possession of illicit cannabis.

Michael Ouellette, 39, is charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and possession of illicit cannabis.

Billie-Jo Duquette, 35, is charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and possession of illicit cannabis.

Katharina Klassen, 48, is charged with possession of illicit cannabis and obtaining or offering to obtain cannabis by any method or process

Nicholas Beleutz, 39, is charged with Possess ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, obtaining or offering to obtain cannabis by any method or process and possession of illicit cannabis.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
