Several people charged after weekend rally

Several people are facing charges after a protest at Windsor’s riverfront over the weekend.

Windsor police attended the protest on Sunday. Four people are being charged under the Reopening Ontario Act. Officers continue to investigate and more people may be charged under the act as individuals are identified.

Officers also issued two tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
