Windsor police investigating gunfire

Windsor police are looking for witnesses after a home was apparently shot at early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a shots-fired report at around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Ford Boulevard and Raymond Avenue. Damage to a home, believed to be from a gunshot, was soon discovered.

The scene was processed by the Forensic Identification Unit, which found a shell casing in the area. It was seized as evidence.

No one was hurt in the incident, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Police are looking for anyone in the neighbourhood with security camera footage that may help identify the person responsible or their vehicle, which investigators believe was in the area when the incident took place.

Anyone with information is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
