UPDATE: Crews respond to people falling through ice in LaSalle

Emergency crews responded to a scene at Vollmer Centre following a report that four teens fell through the ice.

Fire and Police crews responded to a scene at 2121 Laurier Parkway (Vollmer Centre) somewhere around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The scene has now been cleared and police said there were no injuries.

LaSalle Police and Fire crews have advised residents to stay off the ice.

"The overall message is that the ice is not safe and for individuals to stay off the ice this time of year," said LaSalle Fire Chief, Dave Sutton.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
