UPDATE: OPP investigate fatal crash in Leamington

The Ontario Provincial Police now say two people are dead after a bad crash in Leamington Wednesday night.

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision on County Road 18, between Highway 77 and Morse Road, at around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, where a passenger vehicle and a transport truck had collided.

The vehicle had five occupants inside. One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene, another was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries and a third person sustained serious injuries. The other two people are being treated for minor injuries.

On Thursday morning, the OPP confirmed the death of a second occupant.

The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
