Two charged after drug investigation

Two Windsor women are facing a number of charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit.

Police searched a home on Marlin Court on Wednesday and arrested two women as a result of the investigation.

Officers seized some drugs, currency and a prohibited weapon during their search of the residence.

A 51-year-old woman is charged with six counts of drug possession in relation to the trafficking of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, morphine, oxycodone, clonazepam, and nitrazepam.

A 31-year-old woman was also arrested and is facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking of cocaine, possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with a release order.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
