Erie Shores reducing COVID-19 assessment hours

Those booking appointments with Erie Shores Healthcare (ESHC) will need to double check the hours first.

Erie Shores says it is reducing assessment hours slightly as the number of people getting tested for COVID-19 declines.

The new hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week will take effect on Wednesday. The first half hour of each day will be dedicated to ESHC's pre-surgical patients.

"As is the case provincially, appointments are required for tests. Walk-ins cannot be accepted. Appointments can be made by visiting the ESHC website," the assessment centre said in a release.

Appointments for COVID-19 tests can be made over the phone by calling 519-326-2373 extension: 4263, or online by clicking here.

The test centre is reminding patients to arrive no earlier than five minutes before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations can be made through the original booking email and should be made as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity for testing.

Additional information is available on the Erie Shores Healthcare website.
