Driver charged after Hwy. 3 collision

An Essex resident has been charged following a collision early Thursday morning.

Around 6:45 a.m. the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Highway 3 and County Road 8 in Essex.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 22-year-old driver of the other vehicle was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for making an unsafe turn.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
