UPDATE: Bridge Ave. fire leaves six displaced

Fire crews in Windsor were able to quickly put out a fire on Bridge Avenue Saturday night.

Crews arrived on the scene of a fire at an upgraded house fire on Bridge Avenue near Pelletier Street around 9 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found heavy smoke emitting from the home.

Around 10:15 p.m., Windsor Fire tweeted that the blaze was out and crews were ventilating smoke.

Chief Fire Prevention Officer, John Lee told Blackburn News that no one was home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported. However, the blaze left two adults and four children displaced.

In an update on Sunday morning, Windsor Fire officials said the fire was caused by an electrical fire in the basement. Damage is pegged around $100,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
