Windsor police investigating east end shooting

Windsor police are investigating after a man suffered non-life threatening injuries from a gun shot Monday night.

Police were called to the area of Lauzon Road and Yolanda Street after shots were around 9:45 p.m. The victim was found and taken to hospital.

Witnesses told police a light coloured, possibly white or silver, newer model Chrysler 300 was seen in the area at the time of the shooting.

The Forensic Identification Unit processed the scene and the Major Crime Branch is actively investigating.

Anyone in the area with surveillance video is asked to check their footage for possible evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
