Woman charged after break-in at bank

A Windsor woman is facing charges after a break-in at a downtown bank on Friday.

Windsor Police responded to an alarm at the bank on Ouellette Avenue and Riverside Drive around 7:30 a.m. Officers learned a suspect had entered the bank and stole some cash.

Officers viewed surveillance footage of the incident and got a description of the suspect.

The investigation led officers to Church Street near University Avenue where they found some cash believed to have been taken from the bank. The cash was seized as evidence.

Around 9 a.m. a person matching the suspect description was located and arrested on Bruce Avenue. Officers confirmed the person had cash on them that was taken during the break-in.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of a break-in tools, and possession of stolen property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
