Man charged after robbery and hit and run

A Windsor man is facing charges in relation to a robbery and hit and run investigation.

Around 4 p.m. Thursday, Windsor police were called to the area of California Avenue and Tecumseh Road West for a report of a person struck by a vehicle. The car left the scene before police arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police learned there was a fight between the victim and a man before the collision. During the incident the victim was assaulted and robbed. As the man was taking off, he struck the victim with his vehicle.

Officers later identified a suspect who was arrested on Campbell Avenue around 6:20 p.m.

Youssef Adlan, 23, is charged with robbery, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and uttering death threats. The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
