Two St. Clair College students test positive for COVID-19

A pair of students living in residence at St. Clair College's main campus have tested positive for COVID-19 according to the health unit.

On Wednesday, the college reported the two students had direct contact with one another and allegedly did not use masks while hanging out.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has been in contact with both of the individuals and says they have been ordered to self-isolate.

"St. Clair College is working with the health unit as it investigates the cases and assesses the level of risk at the residence, which is currently considered low because of strong cleaning and COVID protocols in the residence’s common areas," a statement from the college read.

Other students and staff of the residence, which has not been specified to the media, have been advised to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 and told to quarantine should they develop any.
