High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for two suspects after a robbery at a home in Essex.
Around 8 a.m. Wednesday the OPP responded to a robbery call at a home on Brien Avenue.
They were told two suspects entered the home, assaulted the victim, and stole a variety of items. The suspects took off before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Essex County OPP Major Crime Unit is asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
