Man charged in Rankin Ave stabbing

A 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Windsor's south end.

Officers responded to a home on Rankin Avenue near Beals Street at around 5:45 p.m Tuesday. A 23-year-old victim was treated in hospital for stab wounds. Police allege the suspect then took the victim's vehicle, which was found parked on Ashfield Crescent near Mount Royal Drive.

Police located the suspect shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday not far from where the stabbing took place and arrested him, according to Constable Darius Goze.

Jacob Parsons of Windsor has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and possession of a dangerous weapon. These charges have not been proven in court.

The Major Crime Unit continues its investigation and is asking the public to provide any information on this incident by calling (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830, or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
