Driver killed in Tecumseh crash

Ontario Provincial Police say a driver has died following a collision Thursday afternoon in Tecumseh.

It happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Banwell Road near County Road 42. Officers from the Tecumseh detachment and paramedics responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle on Banwell Road.

Few details have been provided, but the OPP say the driver of the vehicle was rushed to hospital but has since been pronounced deceased.

The driver has not been publicly identified pending notification of loved ones.

Banwell Road at County Road 42 was closed for several hours while investigators looked into how the crash took place. The road has since reopened.
