OPP seek help investigating fire at Leamington restaurant

The Ontario Provincial Police Major Crimes Unit has released two photos of a vehicle near Paula's Fish Place when it went up in flames last week.

Investigators hope the occupants in the vehicle can help them piece together what led up to the fire that destroyed the building in the 800-block of Point Pelee Drive in Leamington.

They also request residents living nearby to check the footage from their home video surveillance systems for anything that looks suspicious in the early morning hours of April 1. Police and firefighters arrived around 6:15 a.m. that day.

The building had been vacant but sold recently.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
