Shots fired in Windsor neighbourhood

The Windsor Police Service is looking for evidence after shots were fired in a neighbourhood near Jackson Park early Thursday.

Officers were called to the area of Foch Avenue and Highland Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident but multiple shell casings were found on Highland Avenue between Logan Avenue and Foch Avenue.

Investigators identified two vehicles of interest in the incident. A Chrysler 300 and a dark-coloured sedan, possibly an Audi or a Honda Accord. Both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on Highland Avenue, then eastbound on Foch Avenue towards Howard Avenue.

Windsor police officers are asking anyone in the area with surveillance cameras to check their footage for possible evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
