Police investigating armed robbery

Windsor police are looking for two suspects after a convenience store was robbed early Friday.

Around 5:45 a.m. two men, armed with a revolver, entered a store on Seminole Street. They took a number of items from the shelves before leaving the area on foot. Investigators believe there may have been a getaway vehicle waiting nearby.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a white man, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black and white bandana, sunglasses, and gloves. Police say he was carrying a silver revolver-style handgun.

The second suspect is described as having a medium build, and wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, a black facemask, black gloves, and black shoes.

Investigators are looking for two potential witnesses. Police say during the robbery, a man entered the store causing the suspects to take off. A second person in a white Cadillac who was possibly pumping gas at the time may have seen the suspects leave the area. The Major Crime Unit is asking both potential witnesses to come forward.

Police are also asking anyone who lived in the area to check their surveillance cameras for possible evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police Service - Major Crime Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or ext. 4000 (after hours), Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
