Seven arrested in trafficking investigation

A handful of residents are facing drug and weapons charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service.

The investigation into the suspected trafficking of illicit drugs started in March 2021. Officers identified a number of suspects and residences connected to the investigation.

Around 5 a.m. Friday, the Drugs and Guns Unit and the Emergency Services Unit searched two homes, one on Longfellow Avenue and one on Walker Road near Parkdale Place.

Officers found crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, currency and a firearm at the residence on Longfellow Avenue. Five adults were arrested and charged with drug and weapons offences.

Investigators also found blue fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, a firearm and ammunition at the home on Walker Road. Two adults were arrested from this residence and charged with drug and weapons offences.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
