Victim in Kingsville hit and run was elderly

The search for a vehicle that struck an elderly man on Highway 3 in Kingsville continues.

The Ontario Provincial Police released more information Thursday about the vehicle and the victim.

Police believe a dark grey Honda was westbound on Highway 3 near County Road 34 around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when it struck an 89-year-old Leamington resident.

The victim suffered serious injuries.

The vehicle did not stop, and it could have damage on the front passenger side, including a missing mirror.

The Major Crimes and the Technical Traffic Investigators Units are leading the investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
