Windsor Regional Hospital keeps COVID-19 assessment centre open longer

Windsor Regional Hospital is keeping its COVID-19 assessment centre at the Met Campus open longer to accommodate an increased demand to test symptomatic individuals.

The assessment centre closed some time ago, but reopened on Tuesday. It is open again on Thursday, and now, the hospital will open it for asymptomatic testing again on Friday, and next week on April 19, 21 and 23.

On those days, the centre will be open for both asymptomatic swabbing, and for those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Those going are asked to make an appointment first.

The hospital said it decided to open the centre an extra day because of high demand.
